Our Mission

New Testament Home School was established in 2008 by Mr. and Mrs. Bercier as a commitment to raise children through faith, committed to honoring God, parents, themselves and others while developing character, integrity, personal responsibility and willingness to serve in this world as a disciple of Christ Jesus.

Why we chose to educate our children at home....

I'll begin by saying, I always knew I wanted to take an active role in the education of our children. Likewise, I believe every parent is well capable of meeting the challenge if and when the proper support and care is utilized. Home education can offer a nurturing environment and fosters family unity. So it has for our family and many other parents that choose the stability of their home as opposed to public education or other facilitation options. Many parents will site a wide array of reasons why they choose to homeschool. Reasons among the top include parental desire to give a religious or philosophical foundation for which parents can instill their core beliefs. For me, my faith led me to home education because I believe during the formative years through secondary school-age is where character and discipline is established and vital to young adulthood. My husband and I chose to homeschool initially because we were dissatisfied with the condition of our local public school setting. Before my husband and I decided to homeschool, we sought ways to challenge our children by enrolling them in advance preparatory programs, influential organizations such as church, summer camps, sports and arts. We found that these institutions offered some support in providing values but we were constantly having our attention diverted with the endless commitments, events and extracurricular activities. We decided that we wanted to have more time to teach our children about our faith and so homeschooling provided us with the means to do so.
